With his self-produced "Carte de visite", the Toulouse-native Jefferson Noizet proves with flying colours how even small Garonne can seamlessly sound just like the colossal Mississippi ! Doubtlessly influenced by all good aspects of American country, blues, folk, Noizet’s blend does not become flustered, providing a truly brilliant and engaging debut album.

BIOGRAPHY

My musical journey began with a single by the Stones. However, it was only through listening to Woody Guthrie, Dylan, and Tom Paxton that I decided to buy an acoustic guitar. I was introduced to the finger-picking technique, in a back-room of historic Paris, by a virtuoso of the genre, Marcel Dadi. Subsequently, I formed part of several Folk bands before pursuing my own solo adventure, when I started writing my first compositions. While continuing to dig at my guitar and composing, I worked with major FM networks in my city, Toulouse (southern France), and collaborated with the most important French music magazine, Rock & Folk. In 2010, I self-produced my album "Carte de Visite" (Business Card), a blend of blues, folk, country, bluegrass, with French lyrics, acoustic guitars, steel guitar, dobro guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, dulcimer, to create ballads and protest honky-tonks. In a nutshell, " Carte de visite " is a kind of French Americana.
